Progressive Conservative Leader Doug Ford is Ontario’s next premier.
The party, led by the former Toronto city councillor, is headed for a majority of seats in the legislature.
As we have discussed recently, one key takeaway here is that plurality voting is terrible:
It is very unlikely that Ford would win with a decent electoral system, and there’s no reason we should have to speculate.
Anyway, the key takeaway here is that what will solve everything in American politics is having two parties with substantial support splitting the vote on the left.
