You Got Your Peanut Sauce in My Everything
In my lazy cooking thread, sharculese mentioned a favorite of mine–peanut sauce. Easy and versatile, I think a good peanut sauce could probably make cardboard taste good.
The version I make is adapted from the cookbook “Sheetpan Suppers” and it’s basically serves as a dip for roasted chicken and broccoli. And, sure, it’s delicious on that, but peanut sauce is good on just about any protein or veg you can think of. So whip a batch of this up and PUT STUFF IN IT.
Amounts are approximate because you really should make this to your taste. I had to tweak the recipe a bit so you may need to, too. If you need to adjust the amount of an ingredient or two, do so.
- 1-2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 3/4-1 cup peanut butter
- 1-2 tbsp. sesame oil
- 1/8-1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. sriracha or sambal oelek
- 1 tbsp. rice vinegar
- t-2 tbsp. freshly-squeezed lime juice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
1.) Stir that shit together and rub it on your face.
