Court Blocks Enforcement of Georgia Voting Law
As a follow-up to my previous posts about Georgia’s attempt to pass an unconstitutional voting law, the federal courts have blocked enforcement of Georgia’s new attempt at vote suppression electoral reform. The argument seems to be that the new law is no longer a patently unconstitutional poll tax (as was the case with the previous bill), but is still unconstitutional under the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment.
