I’m looking out my window at yet another beautiful February day in Seattle. It’s crystal clear, 41 degrees, not a cloud in the sky. Such days have become commonplace.

Some data:

It has rained one day in February thus far. On that day, it rained .91 inches. Average February precipitation is 4.09 inches, and that’s typically spread over about, oh, twenty eight days, more or less evenly. The ten day forecast indicates three days with a likelihood of showers.

Average January precipitation for Seattle is 5.24 inches. Last month, it rained 3.76 inches. 2.75 inches of that rain came in one two-day period. That leaves about an inch for the rest of January, which obviously also saw a troubling abundance of dry, sunny days.

Sunny days, in the winter, in Seattle. I’m not complaining; I hate the fucking rain. But there can be no more clear signal that the Apocalypse is very nearly upon us. Don’t make any long term plans.

UPDATE: If I may ask, where is the traffic for this post coming from? Odd for a nine month old post to receive such attention. . .
