By Since my morning appointment has been cancelled (received the phone call just as I was getting my coffee, so no chance to go back to bed), I’m sitting in my office with nothing to do. Since I’m inherently uncreative, I have nothing to write, either.
With that in mind, let me point readers to a couple of under-read blogs established by friends of mine. Frequent commenter Redbeard has a blog called Vague Nihilism, and he has assembled some pretty good posts on the election. Check them out. He also has managed to post lots of cool pictures of lava and other natural phenomena, which are cool, if not quite as neat as the kitten-porn of The Poor Man.
Similarly, frequent commenter Erik has really begun to find his voice by lashing out at David Brooks on Alterdestiny.
When involved in a taste test one often eats a saltine cracker between sampling tasty food. In the same way, most of the movies I watch are really good. To really appreciate these movies, sometimes it’s good to watch a really bad movie to clean my palate. In this vein, if you’ve been reading a lot of really intelligent things lately, check out the latest David Brooks column.
