Blogs of War

One of the big stories of this election will be the blogs. From the mobilization of the grassroots and tapping of fundraising sources to keeping key stories alive when the rest of the media ignores them, blogs have changed the texture of American politics.

It turns out blogs are more powerful than we thought. In fact, a prominent Democratic blog has not only been fighting the war of words on Iraq policy–it’s also been fighting against American and Iraqi troops by providing funding for insurgents in Iraq. Surprising, I know, but I’ve got this from a pretty good source: the majority leader of the United States House of Representatives.
