Crossing the conceptual threshold

A terrific post at TalkLeft, discussing a Red Cross report that–if the charges contained within it are ultimately proven to be true–would mean that war crimes were committed at Guantanamo.
One thing that is important is (if these charges are true) to call a war crime a war crime. The mainstream media will, in general, undoubtedly try to avoid using this term–war crimes being something that other countries commit. But under no circumstances should anyone who takes human rights and constitutional liberties seriously go along with this. The abuses being alleged are war crimes. There is no second verse.
