A PC interlude

As everyone in the known universe is now aware, Ilhan Omar sent out an off the cuff tweet a few days ago, referencing a lyric from some sort of “rap music” song, that could be construed as possibly alluding to certain classic anti-Semitic tropes, if you squinted just right at it and decided that she was really talking about Jews in general, as opposed to AIPAC, even though she said at the time she was talking about AIPAC.

Everything Omar says will always be given the highest level of scrutiny and interpreted with the maximum possible bad faith because she’s a Muslim and a woman of color, and this country is run by racist misogynistic scum like Donald Trump and his bottom bitch Lindsey Graham.

At this point I want to apologize for referring to Lindsey Graham as Donald Trump’s “bottom bitch.”  This was very insensitive and sexist and bad for many reasons, including the fact that the word “bitch” is disrespectful to women, and the fact that many people will misinterpret the phrase “bottom bitch” to reference Graham’s purported sexual orientation, i.e., it supposedly implies that he is being sodomized, metaphorically speaking, by Donald Trump, when in fact the phrase actually means “the highest-status prostitute in a pimp’s retinue.”  But many people don’t know that, and the phrase could be easily misinterpreted in this way, so I apologize again to everyone for using it.

I would now like to apologize to sex workers for using the term “prostitute,” which implies that there’s something degrading or otherwise less than optimal about participating in sex work.

And I would also like to apologize to pimps, who should be referred to as “informal economic entrepreneurs.”
