Three years ago, Clare O’Connor wrote an anodyne story about Trump’s fashion brand and the impact his presidential campaign was having on it:

Give The Donald some credit: within minutes of Forbes’ exclusive story on the end of his menswear line, Trump was on the phone to discuss the next steps for his tarnished brand.

The billionaire said he harbors no ill will towards PVH PVH +0.65% Corp., the clothing conglomerate that marketed his brand of dress shirts and ties for over a decade. The New York-based company made its decision days after department store giant Macy’s M +0.08% announced it would stop selling Trump’s wares.

“They were a direct relationship to Macy’s,” the real estate mogul said of PVH. “They’ve been very nice.”

Trump seemed unruffled by the growing list of companies and brands that have moved to distance themselves from him in the days following a racist outburst against Mexican immigrants.

“I’m suing NBC,” he said. “I’m suing Univision. ESPN and Nascar? I mean, give me a break. Nascar cancelled a ballroom and they lost a big fat deposit. They’ll all be back. I have the best properties.”

Michael Cohen’s reaction, on behalf of Donald Trump:

See ya, fucko.
