This is exactly what’s dangerous about Trump’s subversion of norms. His petty tirades about crowd sizes and how the media are treating him make it entirely plausible that he’d have someone in his staff Photoshop his hands. You just mash up his calling of the NPS director re: crowd sizes with his comments in the primary debates about how big his dick is, and you basically have the exact mentality necessary for this kind of action to be plausible.

But now anyone who fell for this very plausible story will be described as a rube, falling for FAKE NEWS, etc. Yes, maybe some people wanted it to be true to continue the story about him being petty and insecure, but…. he’s petty and insecure!
