In a remotely rational universe, no editor who thought that Hillary Clinton’s EMAILS! were a story of major importance would ever work in journalism again. Alas, they’re not the people who will bear the brunt of their unconscionable decision to focus on inane trivia generated by a remorseless and shameless Republican scandal machine in a period of political and constitutional crisis. Yes, the director of the FBI delivered the kill shots, but if the media wasn’t Jason Chaffetz’s poodle his gun wouldn’t have been loaded.
