Good. And here’s a blast from the past with a winning strategy:

On Tuesday, Rick Lazio, a Republican candidate for governor, appeared at the vote, in an auditorium at Pace University near City Hall, to oppose the project.

Rick Lazio is still alive? And running for governor? Sad, really; I’m old enough to remember when the Republicans had a greater chance of winning state-wide elections than the Prohibition Party.

…Wherever there’s wanktastic pandering to wingers to be done, Joe Lieberman will be there!

Yeah, Rick Lazio, perpetual failure. I fondly remember the days when Ms. Clinton the “carpetbagger” first ran for US Senate, when “Hillary: Not Now, Not Ever!” bumper stickers proliferated upstate, and when Rick Lazio was anointed to take the battle to her, thereby assuring her victory. I still wish she had made a career of it.

Hang on, I have an elaborate database program right here … Hmm … Now cross-correlating with GPS data … Hmm … Double-checking with credit reports …

Bombshell! Joe Lieberman isn’t a New York elected official, and doesn’t even reside in the state. So he can feel free to swing by anytime and pick up his heaping plate of STFU.

Exactly. I welcome all of these jackasses who want to tell us in NYC what to do in our own city to start paying NYC taxes like the rest of us. The city could use the bucks, really.

Really, if you polled Americans on whether practicing Muslims should be confined to concentration camps until they prove their loyalty to the U.S., you’d get about 27% in favor.

Before the internet and television, we didn’t have to know just how stupid one-fourth of our neighbors really are.

    • Ah for the good ole days, when you had to be able to read and write to participate in our national discourse.

That would wipe out a big portion of Congress.

And nearly all of the Republican Party.

But but but if this gets approved and everybody stops caring then rightwing bigots don’t get to demagogue on it anymore!

I hope that’s what happens. But there are a lot of crazies that got pretty riled up over this. It only takes one to do a whole lot of damage.
