“Access journalism” seems like too charitable a way to describe this. Blowjob journalism?

Anyway, if you google the story you’ll find that one you get past all the throat-clearing and TRUMP IS WINNING! quotes the administration’s internal polls still show more people blaming the governing party for the shutdown rather than the non-governing party. And needless to say actual publically available polls also show this.

But it’s palpable how many reporters desperately want Trump to get a win, and apparently want Article I reduced to a polite suggestion. In this were 1974 a lot of Beltway reporters would be rooting for the Supreme Court to rule the tapes protected by privilege (which needless to say the current Court would have.)
