Questions from the commentariat

Here’s one that touches on two massively important issues:
With regard to the “Seriously, What Can We Do?” Symposium, I have two additional agenda items. Would you be willing to consider my two highest priorities, namely: a) Seriously, what is the fucking plan for making Dems get their shit together and investigate all of this corruption and evildoing should they win anything at all come November? and b) Seriously, what is the plan for countering a rightwing monopoly on traditional media (Fox News, now CNN, etc), new media (Roku, Paramount plus, most podcasts) (like, have you gone on Roku and seen all the Fox hosts who have shows there??), and social media (Twitter and FB but also all of the rest of it too bc of its algorithms), because I think this is actually our biggest problem in winning over any more of the electorate going forward.
As for the first question, for all of its real accomplishments, the Biden administration was a complete disaster on this critical issue. Congress, especially the House, was a good deal better, but things have gotten way, way worse since then. I’ve got less than zero confidence in Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries in regard to this stuff, and it would be great to see one or both of them replaced in January. Thinking ahead to the 2028 presidential election, my personal top priority in regard to any candidate is what attitude the candidate takes toward this question.
As for the right wing takeover of the traditional and new media, I’ve personally tried nothing and am all out of ideas, so I hope you have some.
