Israel launches attack on Iran

Israel said on Saturday that it had launched a strike against Iran, the office of the Israeli defense minister said in a statement.
Explosions were reported in Iran, according to multiple residents.
The region has been on edge after President Trump threatened military strikes against Iran if its leaders did not agree to his demands, including reining in its nuclear program. It is unclear whether the United States was involved in the attack.
It will be a pleasant surprise if Trump doesn’t get the US actively involved in this, assuming that hasn’t already happened, which may well be an unwarranted assumption of course.
