I mean this does create a kind of grimly amusing situation, in which “the principals,” such as Bari’s best pal Stephen Miller (she apparently has his cell number; I would like to give him a different cell number), are now at least theoretically under some pressure to answer some possibly tough questions on camera, which of course they refused to do before.
One of the most interesting developments of the Trump era is how normalized it’s become for people as utterly unqualified as Bari Weiss to be put in top jobs in elite institutions, with Trump himself being the Platonic ideal of this practice. All these people are, needless to say, the biggest supporters of “the meritocracy,” which means all the best jobs go to white people, or people who are under the misimpression that they’re white enough for MAGA work.
