We’re just saying things now

I’ve been looking closely at the literature on various types of dementia, and it’s scary as hell. Basically if you’re diagnosed with say Alzheimer’s at age 79, to pick a number totally at random, the disease was almost certainly already progressing in a subclinical way when you were 74, and quite possibly when you were 70 or even 65.
It’s really unfortunate that the mental acuity of a geriatric president of the United States has always been a completely taboo topic for the national media.
