Mock Them!
By Democrats are finally, FINALLY!, getting around to mocking the big brave bullies!
Yay? Oh, heavens, not for some people.
I posted yesterday about Big Brave Markwayne Mullin, Big Brave Cowboy from Oklahoma, who posted that he doesn’t fasten his seatbelt in DC because he’s afraid – AFRAID – of being carjacked.
Two Very Smart™ people informed me that no, he just doesn’t understand cities. Poooor Markwayne. Or maybe all this male fear of cities is maybe just performative.
Look, folks, this isn’t a competition for The Smartest Boy In Class. It’s a way to destroy the Nazis, who, you might have noticed, are taking over the country.
IT DOESN’T MATTER IF IT’S “JUST” PERFORMATIVE. THEY WANT US TO BE SCARED.
So the best thing to do is to laugh at them.
I have personal experience of a Big Strong Man like Markwayne damn near getting himself and me mugged. It’s not the point, so I won’t tell you about it.
THE POINT IS THAT WE ARE LAUGHING AT THEIR POSTURING AND FEAR. IT DOESN’T MATTER WHICH IT IS.

That graffic is annoying as shit, it was a pink polo lawyer in khakis with the balls to chuck a sub at a Feds chest. That’s some stolen valor ass graffiti.
It seems not to have occurred to the responder that we need many sandwich-throwers, phalanxes of sandwich-throwers, to terrorize the cops wandering around DC with nothing to do.
I get it. People are humor-deprived now, they want to be The Smartest Boy In Class, or they disagree that mocking dictators is useful. If that’s the case, they should S.T.F.U. There is also a weird literalism on social media. Please check for multiple meanings before spouting off. Humans do creative things with words and pictures.
We need multiple ways to undermine the authoritarians. I happen to think that humor and mocking can be very effective, more effective as more of us do it. It undercuts their attempts to look fearsome and motivates and entertains us. Remember “weird”?
If it’s not for you, just move on and do what you think will be effective. Don’t undercut what others are doing.
