Gunman shoots many 6 to 9 year old children at Catholic school mass

This was on the first day of school. My disgust with this country feels pretty much total at the moment:

Two children were killed in a shooting Wednesday at Annunciation Church in south Minneapolis, a source confirmed to the Minnesota Star Tribune. The gunman is also dead, the law enforcement source said.

Witnesses reported several children were shot during a school Mass. First responders said there were “at least 20 victims,” according to emergency dispatch audio. Nearby residents reported lengthy gunfire, and a huge law enforcement response surrounded the area.

Here’s what we know so far:

• Minneapolis officials are expected to hold a press briefing shortly.
• Two children killed, gunman also reported dead
• First responders reported up to 20 victims
• Children’s Minnesota treating five victims

My wife always wants to leave the country every time one of these things happen, and at this point I don’t really have any way to argue against that sentiment, or any desire to do so for that matter.
