CEO suspended for attending Coldplay concert

I guess Coldplay just isn’t woke enough for the woke tech world.

Remember “the woke mind virus?” I haven’t heard anything about that lately, probably because I already have it, much like the rockin’ pneumonia and the boogie woogie flu.

I assume The Internet has already fully discussed the possibility that this is a publicity stunt. (If so, using the HR director sorry the Chief People Officer as the Other Woman was an inspired touch). I for example had never heard of Astronomer before this cyberkerfuffle, but this corporate entity has now achieved Oprah appearance levels of Q rating penetration.

I can never see the phrase The Internet without remembering my very favorite Jesse Singal story ever:

“The Internet Accused Alice Goffman of Faking Details in Her Study of a Black Neighborhood. I Went to Philadelphia to Check.”

Verdict: Like totally not guilty, because she had very clearly been to West Philly.
