I’m not yippy, you’re yippy!

“TO THE MANY INVESTORS COMING INTO THE UNITED STATES AND INVESTING MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF MONEY, MY POLICIES WILL NEVER CHANGE,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO GET RICH, RICHER THAN EVER BEFORE!!!”
Trump on Wednesday meted out tariffs on U.S. global trading partners, sending a shock wave through financial markets and drawing the nation into a massive trade war with affected countries pledging retaliatory measures. Already on Friday, China said it would hit U.S. imports with a 34 percent tariff starting April 10. Other major economies, like the European Union, are likely to follow.
The president was quick to chastise Beijing for its retaliatory measures, writing on Truth Social that “CHINA PLAYED IT WRONG, THEY PANICKED – THE ONE THING THEY CANNOT AFFORD TO DO!”
A quick reminder that last night he boasted that nations were calling him and kissing his ass. One assumes the nations did not include the members of the EU which announced it had prepared a packet o’ reprisals and Canada, which has been at the head of the fuck you and your tariffs queue. And then China hit the U.S. with an 84% tariff.
When asked later about the reason for his decision, Trump told reporters, “Well, I thought that people were jumping a little bit out of line.”
“They were getting yippy, you know, they were getting a little bit yippy, a little bit afraid,” Trump said at the White House.
People are afraid. Not him. He’s big and brave. Yip yip!
And on cue Bassett announces that the naked emperor rolling in his own filth totally meant to strip naked and roll in his own filth.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessett claimed to reporters that Trump had always intended to put the brakes on the wide-ranging tariffs the president announced last week.
“This was his strategy all along,” Bessent said at the White House, where officials, including him, had denied for days that the tariffs would be suspended.
So other nations’ leaders shouldn’t bother kissing his ass because he’s going to turn around and shout “Psyche!” Thanks for making that clear, Scott.
Breathe a sigh of relief. If you can, while you can.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-NY, criticized Trump on Wednesday, saying the president “is feeling the heat from Democrats and across America about how bad these tariffs are.”
“He is reeling, he is retreating, and that is a good thing,” said Schumer.
“This is government by chaos,” Schumer said, “He keeps changing things from day to day. His advisers are fighting among themselves, calling each other names, and you cannot run a country with such chaos, with such unpredictability, with such lack of understanding of what’s going on in the world and the facts.
