If the fringe rantings of a reactionary lunatic become the official policy of the US government via the manic illegalities of a dope fiend centi-billionaire, I suppose that requires that they be treated as something else altogether. That is because a a literal description of what is happening in this country right now simply can’t be accommodated by our various social, institutional, and media frames.
