How the Fuck Did You Think this Was Going to Turn Out?
By Over the past few days I’ve been altogether astonished by how fervently folks that I’d like to respect wishcasted an entire biography onto the fella who murdered Brian Thompson in cold blood. “He almost certainly had family who had died because of a denied claim!” chimed in half of fucking Bluesky and vast chunks of the still viable communities on X and way too many people in my Facebook friends feed… and of course this is what happens:
No, it is not fucking okay to gun down a man on the street whose crimes were only “crimes” and not actually things that were illegal under US law. And it is not fucking okay to imaging a biography for the assassin and say things like “snitches get stitches” when it amounts to protecting a gun-toting right wing techbro lunatic who just carried out an extra-judicial execution on a busy city street.
Like, seriously, what the fuck is wrong with you people? Don’t answer that. Or maybe do answer that in these here comments! I will make all of you a deal; you can go through whatever fucked up explanation you have for apologizing for the murder of a man with a wife and two kids in the comments to this post, and I will promise you that a) I will never read your explanation, and b) I will not block you, no matter how many horrible things you say about me. But that’s the end of it; if you feel compelled to continue your argument into another comment section you’re fucking done here, now and forever.
