Nepo babies gone wild

Maureen Dowd turned over her op-ed space at the NYT today to her idiot MAGA brother — and I’m talking idiot even when grading on the MAGA curve, which makes Harvard College’s look rigorous. Here’s a free link if you want to hate read, but it’s basically every stupid lie told by Trump presented as if it had some connection to reality.

I guess LOL nothing matters is pretty much the entire exegesis of the 2024 presidential election, so on some level who cares, but it’s still extremely gross that Dowd, who believe it or not wasn’t a completely worthless columnist before I had mortgages and homes and stiffness in my bones, is pulling a stunt that makes all the warnings from people like her about the threat Trump represents seem like just so much empty posturing, because hey guess what that’s what it turned out to be.

And in this particular respect, “people like her” have ended up including Joe Biden, Barack Obama, and pretty much every other top Democrat, who went from “Donald Trump is a fascist” to “let us congratulate Donald Trump on his victory, and work together toward blah blah blah” in less than a New York minute.
