Another characteristic of this kind of groupthink is to do meta-stories about public opinion that act as if what the media decides to cover has no impact on it:
Mr. Trump has made his own series of verbal stumbles — he recently confused Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi and previously mixed up the leaders of Hungary and Turkey — but polls show that voters do not question his sharpness the same way they do Mr. Biden’s.
Huh, I wonder why the gaffes of the 77-year-old candidate who can’t speak in complete sentences anymore (while also being unfit for office in countless other ways) hasn’t raised the same level of public concern? Amazing how that happens. And if Donald Trump makes medication abortions illegal in all 50 states in January 2021, we owe you a Coke.
