Today is going to be a hard day to keep sanity. Unlike my esteemed colleague Paul, I am pretty skeptical about Democrats’ chances today. But you know what? Who cares. The deal is done now. Whatever happens is whatever happens. We can deal with it tomorrow. I know that nearly everyone who reads this site, writes for this site, and comments on this site is going to be watching election returns. My recommendation is that you try not to do that. There’s nothing you can do about it now, once you’ve put in your ballot or done any other election day work that you want to do. At that point, focus on your mental health and find some other activities to do. It will all be there tomorrow morning.

I can’t guarantee I can live up to this plan. But I can try because watching CNN is the worst on a night like this. However, on the chance that Republicans do worse than expected, turning on Fox could be fun around 9 or 10.
