Aftermath

First things first I have to strongly recommend a modified version of Erik’s proposal from yesterday regarding unplugging; I turned off the wifi and put the phone on Do Not Disturb around 8pm last night, and slept well despite not having any idea how the election was shaping up. Of course that’s a little bit easier to pull off in Kentucky (eastern time zone, 6pm polls close) than anywhere else in the country. Waking up to an outcome that could’ve been a lot worse is also pretty nice.
