This is one of the truly most reprehensible pieces of government propaganda I have ever seen produced by the United States. This is Milton Eisenhower narrating a 1942 film (I know the link says 1943, but it’s wrong) about the wonderful program that is Japanese concentration camps, talking about how the Army was so helpful, how the Japanese were happy to leave their homes, and how the camps are a model for human rights. It takes a lot to disgust me by this point in my career, but this really did it. This is something everyone should be required to watch to show how the U.S. treatment of minorities, not to mention their propaganda about the camps, wasn’t nearly as opposite of the Axis as Americans would like to think.
