Oxford Township is a basically all-white (97%) semi-rural area 40 miles north of Detroit. I had a roommate in college who went to high school there.

I realize that from a statistical standpoint the odds of your own kid being killed in a school shooting are extremely low, but that’s not really the point is it? The odds of your own kid being forced to participate in an active shooter drill are extremely high, for one thing.

I’ve pointed this out before, but prior to the 1980s mass shootings in public places basically didn’t happen in this country. Now it’s another Tuesday.
