Trump now rejecting the crypto-leftist bias of Fox, Breitbart, and Newsmax

If you click through to the embedded video (not recommended; those aren’t actually mangoes) you will discover that Trump received the votes of “over 75 million Americans.”
This may seem like a small point but it isn’t: I noticed that over the past several days Trump has kept referring to the “75 million” votes he received. In fact his total was 74.22 million.
Rounding the number up in a dishonest way — I did some calculations and 74.22 million votes is closer to 74 million than 75 million — is just what Trump does naturally of course. But then you get the next step in the inevitable totalitarian logic, which is that if Dear Leader says he got 75 million votes then the true total must be over 75 million.
Even more symptomatic is simply ignoring that 81.28 million is a lot more than either 74.22 million or 75 million or even “over” 75 million, unless over means many millions over, which it probably will by January 6th if not sooner.
But a lot of those votes don’t exactly count if you know what I mean. Here’s National Review luminary Byron York back in 2009:
A simple editing error no doubt.
