You know what the crime is
I almost admire the purity of Trump’s last 24 hours:
.@PhilipRucker: You appeared to accuse Obama of a crime yesterday. What did he do?
TRUMP: “Obamagate.”
RUCKER: What is the crime?
TRUMP: “You know what the crime is. The crime is very obvious to everybody.” pic.twitter.com/EUueidNwGp— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) May 11, 2020
I mean, why pretend you care about email server management best practices or refusals to issue diplomatic passports or risotto recipes or hamburger condiments or whatever the ginned-up scandal do jour is? Nobody actually ever cared about any of that stuff anyway. The Democratic candidate for president or president is clearly guilty of something. Why bother even pretending to care what the pretext you’re running with today is? It’s out there!
…Racism and Petulance, the Donald Trump story:
Trump storms out of coronavirus press conference after getting called out for a racist comment to an Asian American reporter. Kudos to CNN’s @kaitlancollins who let the reporter follow up with Trump over his racist question. pic.twitter.com/NQySU4P4NH— John Aravosis 🇺🇸 (@aravosis) May 11, 2020
