LGM Film Club: Part 1: The Flintstones Smoke

There are so many amazing clips of the last century plus of filmed material online and the news sucks so bad these days that I thought it would be a good idea to start having some evening thread examining artifacts of our filmed past. Sometimes I may provide some below the fold analysis and sometimes I will just make it an open thread on film and whatever that is fun and not politics.

I can think of no better and more fun way to start this than The Flintstones 1961 ad for Winston Cigarettes. This is a great, great thing to show students. It’s a rich text, as they say.
