There aren’t that many great broadcasters. Most are poor to middling. Dick Enberg was one of the few great ones who define my life of watching sports. So was Keith Jackson, who I especially treasure because of his late-life Pac-10 only coverage, meaning I have more recent memories of him than fans of conferences. There just wasn’t anyone better. To me, he is college football broadcasting.
