By I can’t watch Session’s press conference right now but I assume there’s going to be a lot of petulant defiance and only answering questions from Breitbart etc.
Atty. Gen. Jeff Sessions will step aside from any further involvement in the investigation of Russian interference in the presidential election, he announced at a news conference Thursday.
The announcement came amid mounting calls from fellow Republicans for Sessions to recuse himself from any role in the investigation. Those calls began when news broke that Sessions had failed to disclose his contacts during the campaign year with Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak.
As several commenatrions have noted, recusing himself from investigations that may or may not occur became irrelevant the moment the rest of the world moved on to Hey, you lied under oath. I don’t expect him to voluntarily leave office, but I did read that tRump said Session’s had his full confidence or whatever today, and we all know what that means.
