Apparently, sending an injury-risking message that people shouldn’t appeal transparently unjust suspension terms is so important that it’s worth hurting your team where it actually counts. And, yes, Girardi’s right — Dempster should have been tossed. And, yes, Dempster is doubly appalling for forcing me to defend the Yankees.
