This is incredibly damning of Max Miller, and given his long unwillingness to publicly defend his daughter, also incredibly damning of Bernie Moreno:
But the president isn’t the only one with doubts. Sources tell CNN that allies to the president, including top Republicans in the House, are advocating for Trump to urge Miller to drop out of the race out of concern for his election chances. According to the outlet, at least one person said that Trump has said in closed-door conversations with allies that the embattled congressman is unlikely to win and should drop out.
Miller’s push to clear his name has been a disturbing mess. According to the New York Times, Moreno’s attorney filed a letter alleging that the online Dropbox folder shared by Miller’s legal team included, among myriad personal documents, private images of their daughter with her name unredacted and a later-removed image that appeared to show her genitals. “The post with the link to the folder — published under your name — garnered over 204,000 views from the time it was posted until this afternoon,” the letter read. Politico reports that Aaron Minc, Miller’s attorney, took responsibility for the errant posting, calling it “completely unintentional and a mistake.”

Miller’s former father-in-law, Senator Bernie Moreno, denounced the congressman on Sunday and has continued to speak out about his daughter and granddaughter’s ordeal — which he called “the seventh level of hell” on Tuesday. Via CBS News’ Caitlin Huey-Burns on X:

That’s how you establish an “even Donald Trump doesn’t believe you” level of credibility. Whether it will be enough for the marginal voter in OH-7 if he refuses to leave the race, who knows.
