You could read idiotic anonymous trolls taking over comment threads on my previous posts or you could enrich yourself today by reading Andrew Hartman’s very interesting essay asking a question much of historians’ minds in recent years–were the 1960s radical?

I don’t have overly strong feelings on this matter as I am not really a historian of the period, although I have moved in this direction over the past year. But as I have many friends who think about this question frequently, I find the discussion provocative and fascinating. I highly recommend Hartman’s piece.
