Drezner FTW:

Pro tip: when one side complains that the other side is “playing politics” on an issue, it usually means they’ve lost the argument. Badly.

In completely unrelated news, let me reiterate that Championship Week is among my favorite sports events; I think I like it even better than the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament. Hundreds of games, most of them elimination, with dozens of teams that I’ve never heard of and know nothing about. Fantastic to have it on in the background while doing just about anything else. And I assume that spokesmen from VMI are presently bitterly denouncing UNC-Asheville for “playing basketball” in the Big South championship game.
