The Kristol Ball and the Disaster of Sarah Palin
By It is unlikely that there will ever be an entertaining public reckoning within GOP punditry regarding who’s responsible for the construction of Sarah Palin. As the Sage of Wasilla fades, however, I have to wonder whether prominent GOPers are adding Sarah to their private Lists of Grievances against Bill Kristol. I’ve been hearing from some younger professional-movement conservatives that Kristol’s star is on the decline, although his institutional grip on conservative punditry remains relatively strong. I should further note that when Sarah Palin is only the second worst disaster you’ve had a hand in producing, it’s been a very impressive career as a pundit.
