By What I don’t get is why Selig would feel the need to endorse this particular lie. What, people are going to stop coming to Cooperstown unless more people accept fairly tales about how the game was invented? Isn’t wasting 5 minutes of every post-season game doing “God Bless America” jingoism enough?
