Why Can’t I Stop Lying?
By Every day I buy coffee at the coffee shop in the Patterson Office Tower. Every day they ask me whether or not I’m a student. Every day I say “Of course,” because students on campus are exempt from sales tax. Every now and then, usually when I’m wearing a tie, they assume I’m faculty and don’t ask. This makes me indignant, although I usually don’t complain.
