By Via Tbogg, it seems that Tom Wolfe’s new novel, These Kids Today: Committing Acts of Moral Suicide that Should Only Be Discussed by Reactionary Fops Who Did Their Best Writing During the Johnson Administration, is threatening David Brooks’ latest opus, People in the Exurbs Drive Like This and if You Don’t Believe Me You’re a Rabid Anti-Semite in their competition for fatest time for a “prestige” book to hit the remainder tables in the last year. Too bad. He should have gone with his original idea, I Am Ted Simmons. Hell, the debauchery on a college campus is nothing compared to the clubhouse of the ’77 Cardinals!
