Presidential Acting
By Dave and I have been considering a question of deep import over the last couple of days. What actors have played a President (fictional or actual) on television or in film more than once? We have the following thus far:
Henry Fonda: Three times (Young Abraham Lincoln, Failsafe, Meteor)
Jason Robards: Four times (Lincoln, FDR, and Grant twice)
Martin Sheen: Four times (West Wing, Kennedy TV movie, “Medusa’s Child” TV movie, The Dead Zone)
Timothy Bottoms: Twice (Both George W. Bush)
Anthony Hopkins: Twice (Nixon in “Nixon”, JQ Adams in “Amistad”)
What are we missing?
