By Condolences to Mike Hargrove, new Mariners manager. He has the misfortune of having been selected as Bill Bavasi’s victim for the next couple of years.
That said, not a bad manager, not a bad choice. Did very well with Indians teams for several years, and I really don’t think he did too badly with the awful Orioles teams of the last four years. It’s good that he has some experience coming in 4th place.
Odd. Spellcheck wants to replace “Hargrove” with “aircraft”. I don’t know how to interpret that. “Mariners” with “mourners” is perhaps more appropriate.
