Peter Fonda was more myth than actor, thanks to him living a lifetime of fame based on Easy Rider. That movie doesn’t necessarily age well, especially the acid trip scene in New Orleans, but you can’t really overstate its importance. Fonda also had quality acting chops of his own, possibly equal to his sister if not his father, even if his choice in picking roles or really taking acting that seriously through most of his life was pretty questionable. His late 90s film Ulee’s Gold is just a quiet masterpiece and his work as the scumbag producer in The Limey was fantastic. RIP.
