  1. Matt Stevens says:

It’s a sign of how anxious the right wing is about the possibility that Ashley Judd might run for Senate …

I’m sorry, but if this is true, they’re even dumber than I thought. Best of luck to AJ and all, but she doesn’t have a chance.

    • Djur says:

Also, this is the Daily Caller. Their entire job is just to fling shit at any Democrat in sight.

      • commie atheist says:

        Funny you should say that…

A Dominican woman who once said in a video that she had sex with a New Jersey senator for money is now acknowledging that the allegation was false, according to a sworn statement released by a lawyer enmeshed in the scandal…

Just before Menendez’s successful re-election last November, The Daily Caller, a conservative web site, published a story that included a video interview with two women who claimed to be prostitutes. The women said Menendez paid them $100 for sex after agreeing to a fee of $500.

The Daily Caller did not immediately respond to emails and phone calls on Monday.

    • Gareth Wilson says:

Yes, being against motherhood probably does rule out a political career. No word on her opinion of apple pie yet.

  2. Origami Isopod says:

Shorter Daily Caller: “We saw your boobs.”

  3. Would it be improper to gay bait the Daily Tucker? ironically of course.

    • Warren Terra says:

I don’t know if it’d be improper, but it might well be dangerous

      • cpinva says:

i have a suspicion that ms. judd is probably acquainted with a large stuntman or two, who’d be happy to crush carlson’s head against a wall. not that there’d be much to crush, carlson isn’t exactly known for his intellectual heft, or heft at all.

    • Ian says:

Scratch an ironic homophobe and all you scrape away is the irony.

Wait, we can make this work. You want to use homophobia to attack sexists, right? Next we can use racism to drive away the homophobes, then import gorillas to eat the racists. When wintertime rolls around, the racist-eating gorillas simply freeze to death.

  4. Judd, because she has done nude scenes for her work as an actress, “has—literally—nothing left to show us.”

    Christ, that’s offensive.

  5. Jim Lynch says:

“Even the President of the United States must sometimes have to stand naked”.

  6. Come on Tucker, if I knew about this article I could have expensed my latest subscription
    :(

    • Djur says:

What’s amazing is that the Daily Caller was able to find two staff members (Taylor Bigler and Matthew Boyle) who make Jim Treacher look sober and incisive in comparison. That takes some doing.

Treach is just so bitter and hateful that it suppresses his cognitive functions, while Bigler and Boyle are first-class morons.

  7. Also too: the GOP is really fucking afraid of Ashely Judd, ain’t dey?

  8. Bob says:

“But will Judd be the first potential senator who has — literally — nothing left to show us? The actress has bared her breasts in several films and has had some raunchy sex scenes in others.”
How soon they forget Scott Brown.

  9. Chesternut says:

God bless all women via Maria !!

  10. Boots Day says:

The most pathetic thing about it is that they outsource their reporting to Mr. Skin, as if it were the Congressional Record or something. Here’s an idea: Do the actual hard work of watching “Bug” on Netflix Streaming, and tell us what you see. Shoe-leather reporting!

    • Anonymous says:

So it’s OK to surf porn sites at that job and the boss publishes your results?

    • commie atheist says:

But then they would have to fast forward to the “good” parts, which would mean switching hands.

    • dave says:

These idiots wouldn’t make it through 30 minutes of that film (which is great, by the way). Much less make it all the way to Ms. Judd’s nude scene, which, I might add, is definitely among the least erotic nude scenes in all of cinema.

  11. Chatham says:

Eh. The Caller’s content seems to be created largely by a mill of conservative graduates in their early 20′s being paid minimum wage. It is pathetic, but it’s hard for me to get upset over any particular article, or pretend that an intern is anything but because they’ve been given the title “Entertainment Editor.”

    • Anonymous says:

Your inability to “get upset” over sexist double-standards has been noted. Thanks.

      • Chatham says:

As has your level of reading comprehension. Thanks.

        • Anonymous says:

No, I’ve checked. Interpretation stands. Good on you, though, for rising above the misogyny and forgiving the little dears, they know not what they do.

          • spencer says:

I don’t think that’s actually what he did, though.

            • Ian says:

Chatham said he can’t get upset about this because the author is probably young and ignorant. That ignorance is pathetic, agreed, but it’s also harmful. Sexist double standards hurt people and therefore merit some anger. Posting this yawn indicates both that he doesn’t care and that he thinks we shouldn’t care, which is wrong.

              • Chatham says:

No, I said it’s hard for me to get upset about any particular article mostly because this is par for the course with the The Daily Caller. Similar to how it’s hard for me to get upset about any particular news piece on Townhall, the latest hysterics from Ann Coulter or the postings of our resident troll. Sure, the individual pieces are offensive, but that’s because these outlets are set up to be factories of offense.

Take it as a yawn if you will, but pieces like this are endemic, not outliers, and the reason for that is because that’s how places like The Caller are set up.

    • Kyle Huckins says:

If they were true conservatives they’d accept less than the minimum wage because something something free market.

  12. Josh G. says:

That crappy Daily Caller article isn’t even clear about what argument it’s trying to make. That’s probably because if the implicit argument was spelled out (Ashley Judd is a sex symbol, therefore she is a dumb bimbo unsuited for political office) people would realize it was a stupid, sexist non-sequitur.

    • Meh, it’s probably because the guy is the “Entertainment editor” at the Daily Caller and, as such, is a rung above “box of rocks” on the “how fucking dumb are you?” ladder.

    • cpinva says:

if the implicit argument were spelled out, everyone would realize they’d just described every on-cam female on FOX.

“That’s probably because if the implicit argument was spelled out (Ashley Judd is a sex symbol, therefore she is a dumb bimbo unsuited for political office) people would realize it was a stupid, sexist non-sequitur.”

and let’s be serious here, who’s boobs do you want to see, ms. judd’s, or mitch mcconnell’s? it’s a trick question.

  13. Wow. I find myself unable to gin up any umbrage. This is just so remarkably stupid. Ashley Judd is an actress; she has done nude scenes. I just can’t figure out how this is a story.

  14. thebewilderness says:

I suppose this could be seen as a sign of progress on the part of Tucker. He used to be horrified at the very idea of a woman running for office because she is a woman with breasts. Now he is horrified at the idea of a woman running for office because he or someone else has seen confirmation on film that the woman has breasts.

Remember when the very thought of Hillary Clinton caused him to clutch his genitals?

  15. DrDick says:

Let’s get real here. Any operation that would even hire Tucker is pathetic by definition. We need a whole new word fro an operation he actually runs.

  16. Mike Schilling says:

Lighten up. You’d overreact to naked women in the movies too if you’d never seen one in real life.

    • cpinva says:

if you want to see this in real life, go down to bourbon street, on any warm night.

You’d overreact to naked women in the movies too if you’d never seen one in real life.

  17. Joe says:

The analysis really seems more than the DC’s trollish efforts deserve.
