Say this for Andy McCarthy: no satirist would be crazy enough to create him.

McCarthy is deranged. He’s like a better pedigreed Mark Levin. Are there really people who can combine his poor grasp of facts with his failures of logic?

To me, it –again– demonstrates that accused terrorists should be tried in Federal Court. After all, if a dunderhead like Any McCarthy can secure a conviction, then think how much the system must be stacked against KSM?

That is so bizarre. It’s not like Limbaugh even attempts to be good-natured but fails due to his bigotry. Limbaugh sets out to be as vicious as he possibly can be. I’m sure Limbaugh thinks McCarthy is a moron.

The NRO never gets tired of buggering the mouldering, mutilated corpse of irony.

    Does your partner:

    humiliate or yell at you?

criticize you and put you down?

treat you so badly that you’re embarrassed for your friends or family to see?

ignore or put down your opinions or accomplishments?

blame you for their own abusive behavior?

see you as property or a sex object, rather than as a person?

You are dealing with an abuser and should dump the effing asshat asap.
Wake up citizens, you are in an abusive relationship with the Republicans and the corporate media bot. One abusive asshat in your life is one too many.

Both, not bot, or maybe bot also, who can say.

It didn’t even occur to me that that might be a typo.

          Ditto.

  • Here’s the pathetic thing about this episode: We’ve been given the playbook and still we don’t see we’re being played. “Pick the target,” Saul Alinksy said, “freeze it, personalize it, polarize it.” So we’re talking about Rush, the target over which the Left obsesses because he is so effective — he is able to reach and to teach because, as he noted today, his good-natured humor can be biting and illuminating without being nasty.

Hmm, I wonder if these Alinskyite tactics could be used on a muslamocommunist president? Just thinkin’ out loud here…

When I was a much younger man, I wanted to be a satirist when I grew up. Then reality outran my ability to lampoon it.

“No matter how cynical I get, I can’t keep up”.

Sometimes I feel the only response to the current situation is quoting the prescient among our satirical forebears, in the style of “Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra”.
