Anti-Choice, Anti-Contraception

[ 19 ] February 19, 2011 | Scott Lemieux

The House vote to end Planned Parenthood funding would make very little sense — in some alternate universe where people who want to criminalize abortion were primarily concerned about protecting fetal life rather than regulating female sexuality.   In our actually existing political universe, it makes perfect sense.

    Republicans for “Forced Labor!”
    Conservatives for Coat Hangers!

I sometimes wonder if these hateful conservatives do this because they realize that if THEIR mothers had any real, easily available choices regarding contraception and/or abortion, they might never have been born.
I bet looking at what they turned into, there’s a lot of regret at going through with the birth.

Why do they hate women so much?
    Is it Mommy issues?
Do they secretly hate their Mommies?

Our New Republican Tribalism exalts the earthly manifestations of its savior, John Galt. A woman who needs some help with her reproductive health is pretty much the inverse reflection of John Galt, and as such is the functional equivalent of the Devil incarnate.

Yeah…that’s pretty much what we do is sit around and think about new ways to control vaginas. ovaries, etc.

Just as we all have secret meetings every Thursday night making plans to keep ol’ darkie down.

Mmmmm…yeah….that’s what we do. Doesn’t everybody?

This actually existing pro-choice anti-racist faggot would like you to fuck off.

      • DrDick says:

As would this actual existing pro-choice commie. Do you really enjoy making a jackass out of yourself?

        • Faggot Commie Bob says:

As would this actual existing pro-choice commie.

Communism is not a legitimate political position, but rather an enemy of the state.

You have not standing just as any other enemy of the state has not standing.

But this explains a lot about this blog. At least you’re honest enough to show your true colors instead of hiding behind other labels as the rest do lying about your position as they do.

You off your meds again, FCB?

          • DrDick says:

Actually, it is capitalism which is inherently antithetical to democracy (witness the current state of affairs). Communism and socialism (I am actually a socialist rather than an actual communist) are an expression of economic democracy where the rewards primarily go to those who produce the value in the economy. According to both Adam Smith and Marx, that is the workers. Libertarian fantasies aside, capital produces nothing. It is you, sir, who are the enemy of America and our democracy.

          • DocAmazing says:

“Enemy of the state”? Are you for real?

          • Malaclypse says:

You I have not standing English grammar just as any other enemy of the state moron has not standing grammar.

How much you want to bet Big Wrongful Al believes English should be the official national language?

    • BigHank53 says:

Actions speak louder than words, and the bills the GOP has advanced in the last seven weeks speak for themselves.

      You knucklewit.

Just as we all have secret meetings every Thursday night making plans to keep ol’ darkie down.

It sounds stupid when you say it like that. So why do you do it?

  4. GeoX says:

Yeah…that’s pretty much what we do is sit around and think about new ways to control vaginas. ovaries, etc.

Believe it or not, restating it in a snide tone does not somehow magically contravene the overwhelming body of evidence that shows that this in fact is exactly what you do.

It helps him overlook how much he must hate himself, though.

    • wengler says:

It naturally follows from an anti-democratic ideology of viewing oneself as natural master to all around him.

    • NonyNony says:

Please, like this idiot would ever get invited to any kind of leadership meetings. The leadership of the Republican party is now full of mouthbreathing idiots, but every one if them is measurably smarter than our local troll.

  5. DrDick says:

More like we want to receive full value for our labor rather than have you skim off 40% of the value we create.

  6. DocAmazing says:

How ’bout “If you suck at the taxpayer teat, and you’re running a billion-dollar enterprise doing it, you’d better be bringing something back to the taxpayers”?

Quick, Big Dumb Jim Al: name a Fortune 500 coporation that receives no government assistance!
