Do you think your commenters over on the Daily Beast know how much they are proving half your point, Paul? They don’t even seem to be able to tell that your argument–that Kagan’s thin record and refusal to offer the kind of concrete answers she once demanded of SCOTUS nominees makes her a total cypher–is not exactly compatible with their conviction that she’s an evil SOCIALIST who wants to take away the remaining freedoms that our Forefathers granted to
white menReal Americans.I thought I remembered that Paul Campos’s argument was that from reading one former student’s account of Kagan’s refusal to coddle his obnoxious behavior we can discern that Kagan is a Bad Person and unworthy to share the bench with Antonin Scalia and Sam Alito.
(To be clear: there are sensible arguments against Kagan, but by writing and then attempting to defend the post I linked above, Campos emphatically disqualified himself from being a suitable person to make those arguments).
Damn, that’s a good post. (I mean the one you linked).
Yeah, pretty much.
