I’m a Far Better Option than Matt Yglesias
I, too, would proudly be willing to write 4-5 incoherent, stream of consciousness posts a week for only $80000/year. Indeed, I’ll go a step farther; I’ll write 6-7 posts for only $75000 per year. And then I’ll run for the Senate. As the Great Kaus himself might note, bloggers don’t suffer from a union; my ability to undercut Yglesias is key to the proper functioning of a modern economy.
It makes me sad to think of all the time I wasted in medical school…
My cat is at least as good a choice a Yglesias and she doesn’t speak English or type. Of course, she will work for kibble.

The money is ridiculous, but it’s even more ridiculous when you consider Kaus has “an estimated readership of as many as 30,000 people daily.”
That seems tiny to me for someone making that money. And I bet that number is inflated, as the “as many as…” would indicate.
